This policy explains what personal data Trade Capitalism collects through this website and the game, why, and what you can do about it. The controller of that data is [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS], e-mail info@tradecapitalism.com.
If you are in Türkiye, please also read the KVKK disclosure, which is the notice required by Law No. 6698.
1. What we collect
You give us
- Account data: username, e-mail address, password (stored only as a one way hash).
- Verification data: the player name, the e-mail address and the city you use in the game, plus any message you send with the request.
- Profile data: avatar, short bio, signature, preferred language.
- Content: topics, replies, comments and private messages.
- Correspondence: what you write to us by e-mail.
We collect automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser user agent, the pages you request, and the date and time.
- Security data: login attempts (successful and failed) and the addresses they came from.
- Cookies: see the Cookie Policy.
We do not ask for and do not want special category data (health, beliefs, political opinions and so on). Please do not put such data in a public post.
2. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
| What for | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Creating and running your account, showing your content | Performance of a contract |
| Verifying that a game account belongs to you | Performance of a contract; our legitimate interest in a trustworthy community |
| Moderating content, preventing spam, abuse and cheating | Legitimate interest in a safe service |
| Detecting and stopping brute force attacks and other attacks | Legitimate interest in security |
| Sending service notifications about your own content | Performance of a contract |
| Keeping records we are legally required to keep | Legal obligation |
| Analytics or marketing, if we ever add it | Your consent, which you may withdraw |
3. Who can see it
- Publicly: your username, rank, avatar, bio, signature, the content you post and your public statistics. Your e-mail address is never shown publicly.
- Our staff: moderators, game masters and administrators can see the data they need for their role, including the e-mail address on a verification request and the IP address attached to a post.
- Service providers: our hosting provider, and an e-mail provider if we send you a message. They act on our instructions.
- Authorities: only where we are legally obliged to disclose.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for other companies' advertising.
4. Where it is stored
The service is hosted on servers in [HOSTING COUNTRY]. If data is transferred outside your country, we rely on the safeguards the law requires for that transfer, such as standard contractual clauses. Ask us at info@tradecapitalism.com if you want the details.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account exists, then deleted or anonymised within 30 days of closure.
- Public content: it stays on the forum after an account is closed, shown as coming from a deleted user, so that discussions remain readable. Ask us if you want it removed as well.
- Verification requests: 12 months after they are handled.
- Login attempts: 30 days.
- Security and moderation logs: up to 12 months.
- Anything the law requires us to keep: for the period that law sets.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct it if it is wrong,
- delete it,
- restrict or object to how we use it,
- give it to you or to another provider in a portable format,
- withdraw a consent you gave, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
Write to info@tradecapitalism.com. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Türkiye that is the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
Most of this you can also do yourself: edit your profile in your account settings, delete your own posts, and unlink your game account whenever you like.
7. Security
Passwords are stored only as one way hashes and cannot be read by anyone, including us. Sessions are bound to the browser, protected against cross site request forgery and expire after inactivity. Repeated failed logins lock the address out. Uploaded files are validated and stored where they cannot be executed. No system is perfect, so please use a unique password and tell us at once if something looks wrong.
8. Children
The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to info@tradecapitalism.com and we will delete it.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top and, for significant changes, announce it on the website.
