Export Office

The sector that turns laboratory packages into regular business sales. Its revenue potential requires substantial opening and working capital.

One office, several investments

An Export Office costs $5,000,000 to open. You may own only one across all cities. It uses a business slot and follows general business requirements.

The opening screen includes a cost warning and acknowledgement. Take it seriously: opening the office does not give you all shelves, certificates or stock for free.

Unlock shelves in order

The first shelf opens with the business. Remaining shelves unlock in ascending package base-price order, so a recipe number is not necessarily its shelf number. The second shelf costs $10,000,000 and the third $15,000,000, with later shelves following the same formula.

Each shelf sells its own package. Unlocking a certificate is not the same as unlocking a sales shelf; check the shelf warning to avoid producing stock you cannot yet sell there.

Sales speed and stock

Base speed is 1 package every 4 minutes per shelf, or 15 per hour with continuous stock and an active sales window. Sales-quantity effects can increase the actual amount. Packages come from the warehouse in the office's city.

The office follows the collection window too: 1 hour without an employee and 6 with one. Without stock, or after the window expires, catalogue hourly potential is not realised.

How it differs from automotive retail

An automotive accessory shelf sells a base 30 units per hour, versus 15 packages per hour at an Export Office. Export packages have high unit values, but ingredients, certificates and shelves also require substantial capital.

Compare both sectors using the same stocked operating time, comparable bonuses and actual purchase costs. Separate hourly revenue from hourly profit and assess how long the initial investment takes to recover.

A sustainable supply plan

Packages must be produced in a laboratory or bought from other players; there is no system supply of ready-made packages. The office does not offer the Work the Counter activity.

Keeping a few shelves reliably stocked can be easier to manage than committing all your capital to shelves at once. Balance batch output against your daily sales consumption.
