The trader’s handbook

Farming and livestock

Produce vegetables, fruit and animal products. Capacity, speed and harvest bonuses serve different purposes, so plan around the distinction.

Land and product choice

The first plot costs $2,000. The next plot's price doubles with the number you already own: $2,000, $4,000, $8,000… Each plot produces one product at a time.

Cucumbers, potatoes, onions and tomatoes are available from the start. Melons, lemons, plums, bananas and the livestock category require earned rank tier 4, Business Owner.

Crop and livestock timings

Cucumbers, potatoes, onions and tomatoes take a base 2 hours. Melons, lemons, plums and bananas take 3 hours. In livestock production, eggs and milk take 3 hours; ground meat, chicken and sucuk take 4; beef and lamb take 5.

These are unboosted times. Active production-speed bonuses and an applicable city effect can shorten the wait.

Cash costs and inputs

Cash production cost is one tenth of the product's base price × the quantity started. Each unit also consumes one input: seed for crops or feed for livestock. Inputs come from your current city's warehouse.

For example, starting 1,000 sucuk at a $50 base price costs $5,000 in cash plus 1,000 feed. The feed's purchase cost is separate from that cash charge, and the final quantity is determined at harvest.

Capacity is not harvest yield

A batch has a minimum of 100 units and a base maximum of 1,000. Land-capacity items and applicable holding and occupied-home bonuses add to this maximum. A home's “+100 planting” lets you start 100 more units on a plot; it is neither warehouse space nor 100 free products.

Yield bonuses affect the amount received at harvest. Agricultural training, an active farm-production bonus and the VIP effect recorded when the batch starts contribute here. Speed bonuses separately affect time.

Harvest losses and bulk collection

Harvest loss ranges from 10% to 20%, tending upward as market supply rises. Yield bonuses apply after this loss, with the result rounded down. The quantity entering your warehouse can therefore differ from the quantity planted.

The entire harvest must fit in the warehouse; otherwise the plot remains uncollected. Bulk Harvest collects ready plots, leaves batches that do not fit and reports the products received. Keep enough free space before collecting.

Closing the facility

Plots are liquidated from the most recently purchased first in the Tax Office's facility-closure section. The plot must be empty; it cannot be closed with growing or ready-to-harvest products.

The refund is 75% of the corresponding opening-cost tier. Upgrades, staff, maintenance and certificate expenses are excluded from this facility refund. Review the amount on the closure screen before deciding.
